Blogger website settings
Setting No. 1 :- Basic
(i) Title :- In the Basic section of setting you will get to see "Title" option. It means in which name your blog will show ? For an example :- I gave my Title "Technical Bablu".
(ii) Description :- In the Basic section of setting you will get to see "Description" option under Title. It means what about your blog/website ? For an example :- I gave my description "Knowledgeable topics on computer Technology | How to break hackers and hacking | Area of Internet | How useful a computer in today's day | How to earn money in online and home based".
(iii) Blog Language :- In the Basic section of setting you will get to see "Blog Language" option under Description. It means in which language you will post articles in your blog ? (You can choose any available language in your choice). For an example :- I selected "English" language.
(iv) Adult content :- In the Basic section of setting you will get to see "Adult content" option under Blog Language. Under this option you will see two option that,
1. Show warning to blog readers
2. Require age confirmation.
The two options are off from first (when you create your website) just let it. It means,
1. Your visitors will see warnings from your blog and may be you lose your traffic's.
2. Your visitors need a particular age to see your posts.
You can on or off it as your choice at any time.
(v) Google analytics property ID :- In the Basic section you will get to see "Google analytics property ID" option under Adult content. You need to give your Google analytics property ID from Google analytics (You use it to rank your website). This ID comes with UA - . For more information to get Google analytics property ID a video is here ๐๐๐๐๐๐. (1st u need to create an account). See it.
You can add your Google analytics property ID as mentioned in the above video.
Setting No. 2 :- Privacy
There is only one option in Privacy section that, "Visible to search engines". It means allow search engines to find your blog. This option is off from first. If you want to index your website you need to on it. You can do it as your choice. For an example :- I want to allow search engines to find my blog so, I on it. It is the only setting in Privacy section.
Setting No. 3 :- Publishing
(i) Blog address :- In the Publishing section of setting you will get to see "Blog address" option at first. It is the URL of your blog website. You can change it at any time as your choice. As example :- My blog address is "technicalsmrutiranjan.blogspot.com". It has not more explanation.
(ii) Custom Domain :- In the Publishing section of setting you will get to see an option "Custom Domain" under Blog address.
It means if you want to buy a custom domain you can buy clicking on this option. When you create your blog you will get a free domain that, ".blogspot.com". You can change it by buying a custom domain. For example :- My blog address is "technicalsmrutiranjan.blogspot.com" and I want to change it. Think that, I bought a custom domain ".com". Then my blog address will be "technicalsmrutiranjan.com".
Custom domains example :- .com, .in, .gov.in, .nic.in, .org etc...
Setting No. 4 :- HTTPS
There is only one option in HTTPS section that, HTTPS redirect. It means Ensure that visits to HTTP redirect to HTTPS. HTTPS marks that, your website is safe and secure to visit/use. It is also known as SSLcertificate.
From 1st if may be off in some cases. If it is off you can on it as your choice. Without HTTPS your website is not safe and secure. You can on/off it at any time as your choice.
Setting No. 5 :- Permission
(i) Blog admins and authors :- In the Permission section of setting you will get to see an option "Blog admins and authors" at first. In this section it shows that, Email & Display name of admin (blog owner) with all authors who are writing articles in that blog.
Admin can remove any author & also can give admin permission to an author by it as his/her choice.
(ii) Pending author invites :- In the Permission section of setting you will get to see an option "Pending author invites" under
Blog admins and authors. It means if the admin invited to a man and the man not accept admin's invite yet, the man's email will show here. There is nothing more work.
(iii) Invite more authors :- In the Permission section of setting you will get to see an option "Invite more authors" under Pending author invites. In this setting only the admin of the blog can invite more authors by their E - mail ID. To invite an author admin need to give the E - mail ID of the author and click on invite. There is no more work.
Setting No. 6 :- Posts
(i) max posts shown on main page :- In the "Posts" section of setting you will get to see an option "max posts shown on main page" at first. It means how many posts you want to show your visitors/users on first page. For example :- I want to show seven (7) latest posts to my visitors. So, I selected 7. Then my visitors will see seven latest posts from my site. If they will click on load more option under the last post they can see other posts if I have more than 7 posts.
There is no more setting in this section. There is two more options that, Image light box & Ideas panel. Image light box means if you will upload an image in your post, the image will show with the post. You can on/off it as your choice. Then next is Ideas panel. Ideas panel is only for you. It's work is it will give you some ideas to write some posts when you need some ideas but you haven't. When you will ask it for some ideas to write some posts it will help you. For an example :- My blog is on Computer education. I need some ideas to write a post and I asked it for help. It will show me some ideas to write articles on computer. It can also give you the heading if you need. You can on/off it as your choice.
Setting No. 7 :- Comments
(i) Comment location :- In theComments section of setting you will get to see an option Comment location at first. It means how can your visitors comment in your post.
There is 4 options that, Embedded, Full page,
Popup window and Hide. Embedded means, under your post there will appear a place to do comments. Full page means, your comment place will not appear. Popup window is also same with Full page. Hide means, Your comment place will hide fully. If you want that, people will comment on your post normally select the first option Embedded.
(ii) Who can comment ? :- In the comment section of setting you will get to see an option "Who can comment ?" under comment location. It means your visitors/users by which method they will comment on your post. There is three(3) options are,
a) Anyone (including anonymous).
It means any person can comment on your post and you will not able to know something him.
b) Users with Google accounts
It means those users can comment whose G-mail account is Sync with their browser.
c) Only members of this blog.
It means only your members can comment who is associate/working with you in the site. You can select any option as your choice. For Ex :- I selected option No. - 2.
After this section their is more 3 settings. Simply let it. It is not necessary. If you are interested to know about those, kindly tell me by coment. I will write another post on it.
Setting No. 8 :- Formatting
(i) Timezone :- Timezone is the 1st option of setting Formatting. Don't worry for it. Simply you need to select the timezone of your country. If you don't know what is the timezone of your country, simply open a new and fresh page in Google and search, ("Timezone of _____________"). In __________ you nedd to fill the name of your country.
(ii) Date header format :- Don't Change anything. Simply let it. It will set automatically when you select your timezone.
Setting No. 9 :- Meta tags
(i) Enable search description :- Just on it if you want to rank your blog.
(ii) Search description :- You can give any keywords as your choice. For an Ex :- I gave my description "Learn computer in free".
Setting No. 10 :- Errors and redirects
(i) Custom 404 :- Don't change anything in this section. Simply let it. For your knowledge, it means, there is a post in your blog and an user reading it now. For any reason you deleted it. When the user will refresh the page with that same post the site show him error 404.
(ii) Custom redirects :- Don't change anything. Normally let it.
Setting No. 11 :- Crawlers and indexing
(i) Enable custom robots.txt :- Just on it if you want to rank on your site on search engines.
(ii) Custom robots.txt :- If you will on the above setting, you need to give this setting's robot file. Other wise your site will not rank. Don't worry for it. I will give you the file bellow๐๐๐.

Simply copy the above robot file and paste it in your note pad. Just go to your site and copy link of your site and paste it here after deleting the pink colour mark text. (All pink colour text will delete. Other wise, your file will show invalid).
(iii) Enable custom robots header tags :- You can on/off it as your choice. If you will on it you need to do the bellow works.
(a) Homepage tags :- Just click on it and on the 1st option all and 7th option noodp and simply click on save button.
(b) Archive and search page tags :- Just click on it and on the 1st option all and 7th option noodp and simply click on save button.
Setting No. 12 :- Monetization
(i) Enable custom ads.txt :- If you want to show ads in your site/blog and earning you need to on this option. Other wise normally let it.
(ii) Custom ads.txt :- If you will on the above option then you need to give here a robot file. The file is given bellow.๐๐๐

You need to change the pink colour mark text. In the place of 1st pink colour mark text you nedd to paste the link of your site & in the place of 2ndpink colour mark text you need to paste your Adsense publisher I'd. And click on save button.
Setting No. 13 :- Manage blog
(i) Import content :- This not important. Normally let it.
(ii) Backup content :- The posts you published, if you want to download those simply click on this option and click on download button.
(iii) Videos from your blog :- It means, the videos you published on your site, you will find all of those here.
(iv) Remove your blog :- It means, if you want to delete your blog you can delete it by clicking on this option.
Setting No. 14 :- Site feed
Don't worry for it. Don't give attention on this option. In the 1st option just select the option 'Full' and click on save button. Then normally let it.
Last setting No. 15 :- General
(i) Don't on the 1st option"use blogger draft" Normally let it.
(ii) User profile :- If you want to show your profile (something about you) to your users/visitors then click on the option and do work according to the form.
